"Maedra I serve you, and you shall be remembered" whispered Toryv in his prayer, and then silenty named many other minor gods. Toryv then picked up his pack, and prepared to leave. The council had already left and so he waved to his tree. A tear fell from his eye and he promised if he could he would be back.
Then Toryv started out he wasn't really sure where to go, he could either head north to offer aide to the wretch Solanos and his followers, to stop the worst from happening or he could head to the great people of "Varinos," (he hated that name) but they were weak and although their nonviolence would have been helpful against Solanos, the current violence breaking out caused him great worry.
In the end he decided to head south deeper into Varinos and so he wandered grabbing at his spears under his shirt, and looking around at the beautiful trees, he had never really travelled to human territory before, but he had studied the language and customs. Plus he knew that there would be a centaur in some of the cities, and centaurs were always a good sign, if not a good friend.
As Toryv started walking his thoughts flowed freely remembering many of the events leading to his being here at this moment: There were the competitions, and then the drills, the tests of obediance, and sense tests, there were everything challenging his both his physical strengths, his mental abilities, and then there were even emotion tests; he had passed them all, he hadn't actually been the best at any of those tests he had come close in a few, but discipline had been the one that dropped most of his friends, and none of the elders had the skill to even try out, so there had only been a few in the end and well he was the best, of those that didn't crack during the emotional tests.

Toryv looked up and realized he hadn't headed south at all rather he had somehow gotten turned around during his thoughts and had ended up going north instead. Toryv's thoughts once again returned to his mission "well if Maedra wishes me to head to Mixteca than Mixteca I shall go." So off he continued northwest. As he walked and walked and walked he suddenly realized, he didn't know much about the land of Mixteca so he figured he'ld go to the one place he did know of Sunhome everyone knew of Sunhome (it was another name he didn't like a reminder of how Solanos had ruined Maedra) then once he got there he would find a centaur, because forest folk would be much easier to talk to, and in a city that big there had to be at least one centaur. [It never occured to Toryv that in a city that big finding people would be difficult, because he had never seen any city before.]
