To elaborate more, Answer 1: Money reflects your character's money. You start out with a small amount and by doing stuff like minor jobs or raiding or pickpocketing or questing for buried treasure you get more stuff. You don't actually push the buttons in the shop; the items are given to you when you earn them and the money is then subtracted from your account.
Answer 2:Money is fun and used to buy fun things. This is more of a post incentive or whatnot. Your character has a separate money account that is not reflected in your mini-profile (this could be kept track of in your description or signature). The gold in your profile is gained by posting. You get a certain amount per post, and you can use this to buy crazy items. Items you get in the roleplay are given by staff, but the crazy items or special items you buy with your user money.
Answer 3:Money is gathered per post and buys custom items. In this option, your character has its own money system like in #2. However, you use your user money to buy slots where you can get your custom items made and then given to you in their pixelated glory.
