1. After joining, please post your character description(s) in the Character board. This helps others get a baseline for your character. For non-god, non-'Important Persona' characters, acceptance isn't required before posting. However, if we think your description is a little vague or your character could do with a bit more fleshing out, we'll suggest you modify certain parts.
2. Please try to make your posts fairly detailed. There isn't a set length that they have to be, but long posts tend to make it easier to reply with long posts.
3. Do not godmode. Even if you are a god. Godmoding is different than using your character's powers. It is taking control of another character's free will. If you are in a fight, dictate only your actions. Do not decree that others are automatically hit - they need room to dodge or take the blow as they'd like. Conversely, if you say you're not a great fighter, take the hit occasionally.
4. Restrict all chatspeak to the General Board. Even if it is your native language, try learning enough English to keep a fairly professional roleplay going.
5. All sorts of magical beings live in Mirithin. If you aren't sure if your crazy character is going to be allowed, run it by me first. It most likely will be just fine ;D
6. There is going to be an informal leveling system in the land. Nothing complicated, however, you shouldn't start with an amazing character with all sorts of abilities. Give them one strength and they can find ways to learn new things.
7. Keep your characters 'real.' By this I mean give them limits. You don't need to make them sleep regularly, but if they perform some major feat of endurance don't just jump up and do another.
8. No killing player characters without permission from the other member. Also, both members must publicly post their acceptance beforehand, or message the admin if they'd rather keep it a surprise.
9. Of course, no hazing, flaming, or outright verbal fights will be allowed. If there's a problem, we'll try to work it out nice and professionally.
10. If you want a post that's higher than a PG-13 rating, tell me and I'll create a protected board for it.
11. Silly as it sounds, please don't use copyrighted images for your signatures/avatars. Ask permission from the artist first or find free images. Or you could make your own ;D
12. Make your own plots! There will be many plot lines going on, and you can either join a current one or just start your own. Chances are someone will join in.
13. Sadly, I'm going to enforce physics here. Beyond gravity existing, the space-time continuum also exists. You cannot exist in two places at once. You could endanger the whole world! What would happen if your two clones met?! Clearly, the danger is too great. The only way you could post in two places at once would be if you were enacting a past event, and it has to clearly be marked as something that occurred in the past.
14. If you see a current roleplay plot that you would like to join, PLEASE ask the permission of those currently involved. Just contact them through PMs or the chatbox.
Sometimes they have worked out a plot that only includes their members, and adding another member to the storyline would be unwelcome. If you post somewhere, chances are you won't be alone for long.
15. Have fun! Enjoy yourself!
Also, this is not a rule, but it is a strong suggestion:
Try to keep to one account per character. It does falsely inflate the 'members' count, but since a lot of the graphics/coding is character-specific it's kind of nice to have a main character to base all of that information upon. But, as stated above, this isn't a rule! It's completely up to you.
